This company has an analytical solutions division, has contingent, and an exciting new opportunity in the area of system software and quality assurance testing. The successful candidate ensures the quality and integrity of all software products created under government and task direction. You will develop and execute testing plans for new software development and enhancements to existing systems while participating in a team-oriented development environment. Position will liaise with intra-organizational staff primarily, with opportunities to interface with government customers and vendors on task relate matters.

What you’ll do as a junior and/or medior Software & QA Tester:
-Creates and executes functional test plans and works closely with developers to develop quality assurance standards.
-Produces test plans, develops test scripts, and uses automated testing software to ensure programs are defect free and efficient. Produces timely work and of high quality.
-Tracks test results and produces reports using Microsoft Visual Studio Team System and other tools as needed.
-Documents software testing standards on a regular basis and updates the government lead as updates occur.
-Facilitates application builds for regular releases.
-Participates in regular Software Development meetings.
-Works with end-users to understand their business processes in order to produce high quality tests.
-Participates in team-oriented development environment. Keeps co-workers updated on project status that they are dependent upon. Works with other co-workers to produce timely high-quality solutions.
-Communicates effectively with the Software Development Team on project status and new work assignments.
 
Software and QA Tester Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree (Engineering, Computer Science, or related field) or equivalent.
-Ability to design, document, and execute functional, regression, and load stress tests.
-Strong organizational and time management skills.
-Strong capacity for logical thinking with the ability to understand complex applications.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Ability to function as part of the development team, including ability to present results.
-Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills in order to interact in a team environment.
 
Experience required;
-Ability to design, document, and execute functional, regression, and load stress tests.
-Identifying, tracking, and communicating software defects and failures to development team members.
-Bachelors or better in Engineering or related field.
-Experienced with programming languages such as C or C++.
-Works well as a member of a group.
-Consistently introduces new ideas and demonstrates original thinking.
-Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well.
-Self-Starter: Inspired to perform without outside help.
-Inspired to perform well by the completion of tasks.
