This financial Technology employer is an impressive online banking platform for business and corporate customers, offering a comprehensive range of cash management, trade and supply chain, securities and global markets solutions.
Their most cost efficient file transmission solution gives customers the ability to send and receive files from anywhere in the world. This global gateway for file transmission and translation effectively integrates payments, receivables and information with customer’s accounting, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and other in-house financial systems. A single delivery channel, via our client, gives customers access to their extensive global footprint including a wide range of payment functionality across all regions.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Java Developer to join a high performing team that focuses on delivering exceptional project and programme management services to the business. Their internal Software Delivery projects have been awarded a substantial increase in strategic investment and as a result is recruiting a significant number of additional headcount.
The Senior Java Developer will be part of a vital role in driving the development function forward by taking a forward thinking approach, co-providing ideas around development methods and consistently driving best practice and positive change whilst also providing co-support for any queries regarding any bespoke software issues or bugs.
Senior Java Developer role Responsibility;
-Commits to complete a given work within agreed time limits;
-Produces code that is tested and compliant to coding principles applied within the project;
-Aligns closely with Tech Lead/Solution Architect (as applicable);
-Alerts other team members and project manager of impediments and delays;
-Troubleshoot issues;
-Collaborate with team to develop and release new features;
Technical skills required for the Senior Java Developer;
-Experience in Java, Javascript, XML, JSON, HTML;
-Knowledge of OO design principles and patterns;
-Experience with Spring framework and Hibernate ORM;
-Ability to translate use cases and requirements to working implementation;
-University education and degree (IT related);
-Minimum of 10 years experience in a software development function;
-Enthusiastic coder;
-Strong analytical and communication skills;
-Good written and verbal skills in English;
-Ability to work in a team-environment;
-Strong attention to detail and thoroughness;
-Perseverance to solve complex problems;
-Ability to work in a multicultural and international environment;
-Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter and learn quickly;
-Enjoys a high-intensity environment;
