As a member of the applications development family, you will help grow the company and provide valuable services internally.

The Senior Java Developer provides input and support for, and performs full systems life cycle management activities (e.g., analyses, technical requirements, design, coding, testing, implementation of systems and applications software, etc.). They participate in component and data architecture design, technology planning, and testing for Applications Development initiatives to meet business requirements. The Java Developer in this position provides input to applications development project plans and integrations. Collaborating with teams and supporting emerging technologies to ensure effective communication and achievement of objectives will be critical in this role. The Java developer in this position provides knowledge and support for applications development, integration, and maintenance. They provide input to department and project teams on decisions supporting projects. The Senior Java Developer will be responsible for small research and development, prototyping and vetting technology solutions within IT. This technical Java role will allow IT to understand, influence, and promote new technology solutions for the company.

It is critical for the role to possess effective written and oral communications skills in order to elicit business requirements and technical needs from multiple stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Senior Java Developer technical skills;
-Preferably a University education and degree IT related
-Knowledge of Object Orientated (OO) design principles and patterns
-Experience in Java, preferably J2EE in a large enterprise environment
-Strong knowledge or experienced with Javascript, XML, JSON, HTML
-Experienced with Spring framework
-Experienced with Hibernate ORM
-Has the skills to translate use cases and requirements to working implementation
-Has a very good understanding in one or more programming languages
-Has a good understanding of complex technical aspects and can support technical decisions well
-Minimum of 6 years experience in a software development position
-Is a self-starter and learns easily
-Is focused on performance and maintainability
-Is a profound coder
-Has good analytical and communication skills
-Has a strong understanding of design patterns
-Pays much attention to detail and thoroughness
-Has excellent skills in English
-Is very interested to solve complex problems
-Is motivated to work in an international environment
-Is a team player but can also perform solo
-Preferably has good knowledge of dynamic languages build on top of JVM, memory allocation and performances;
