Junior Test Engineer
Amsterdam, Noord-HollandAs a Junior Test Engineer you are motivated to permanently join a Technological Simulation specialized company.
Simulation environments are crucial to the success of self-driving car technology. To ensure they are building high quality simulation products that serves the entire customer base, they need to invest heavily in automation and testing.
You and your team are responsible for building test suites which exercise not only the entire simulation stack but also exercise self-driving software stack and closed loop simulation.
With your team you will assist in the development and growth in the overall Sim testing strategy. In addition, you will spend time manually testing Simulation products and assist the engineering teams with building a top tier simulation platform.
This position requires an junior tester or entry level tester who is a motivated communicator, creative, interested in data and results oriented!
What you’ll be doing as a Junior Test Engineer together with your QA team:
-Work with development teams to triage issues, do root cause analysis, verify fixes, define new tests, and improve test plans. You will become a champion of quality for any product you touch, and proliferate that same spirit across the team;
-Perform manual testing, you’ll be involved with internal projects written mainly in C++ and Python;
-Contribute to developing sophisticated and stable frameworks to increase efficiency, re-usability and flexibility;
-Schedule test runs, publish reports and analysis with detailed and specific bug reports for failures;
-Collaborate and work closely with other remote teams.
Junior Test Engineer qualifications:
-Minimum of 6 months experience in a Test Engineering role (Internships are applicable and allowed as experience for this position);
-You have C++ programming experience or strong knowledge of C++ programming at or close to a junior level.
-At least a degree in Computer Science or a similar Technology like education;
-Able to multitask and handle competing priority tasks. Strong analytical and communication skills.
-Able to juggle conflicting/changing priorities and maintain a positive attitude while experiencing challenging and dynamic schedules;
-Ability to work with geographically dispersed team and attend reviews/meetings to assist in maintaining alignment;
-Python programming experience would be great but is not a must.
