The Business Analyst Systems, Software’s and KPI’s; is responsible for the conception, development and implementation of reporting dashboards and analysis solutions. This position takes an active support role in sourcing, organizing, and maintaining large volumes of data through the development of innovative tools, reporting dashboards and well-organized databases.
This Business Analyst role within the Customer Delivery Team is challenging and varied and includes the provision of data services to the Europe, Middle East & Africa region such as the Executive Information dashboard, performance charts and departmental performance monitoring tools. In addition to these international services, the Customer Delivery Team also provide systems to support the wider corporation including monitoring for timecards and HR’s initiative. The IT Business Analyst Systems would also provide internal support for the Customer Delivery Team systems, which include the Proposal Tracking System and jurisdictional monitoring software’s.
Duties and responsibilities; -identifies needs/opportunities for improved data management and delivery; -communicates needed changes to the senior management team in informative, well-organized, professional PowerPoint presentations; -collaborates with management to report KPI’s; -works with software development staff to ensure that metrics can be obtained consistently; -develops complex SQL queries and reports; -implements self-service analytical tools to end users; -maintains an understanding in the areas of testing and database design; -designs and develops dashboard and reporting solutions to enable senior management to analyse information and improve decision making; -communicates effectively with clients internally to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions; -develops functional specifications for client engagements. Required education and other credentials: -a University degree Information Technology Management or related fields are preferred; -Project Management Certification or a related certification(s) is preferred but not a must; -excellent knowledge of Excel; -excellent knowledge VBA, PowerPivot, and/or Power Query; -strong knowledge of SQL; -basic or some knowledge of Python, especially the Pandas library; -basic or some knowledge of Power BI (also using the Power Query) + DAX; -basic or some knowledge of HTML; -proficiency in Microsoft Office and Teams.
Required practical skills; -a minimum of 2 years of directly related experience is required; -must have relevant experience with one or more business intelligence Dashboard software packages; -advanced SQL skills are required for this role; -must have intermediate Crystal Reports and/or SQL Reporting Services skills; -must have basic or knowledgeable programming capabilities; -basic experience with IBM Cognos is preferred but not a must; -basic experience with BIO for Microsoft Dynamics SL is preferred but not a must; -experienced with SQL Analysis Services is preferred; -must have the ability to handle and organize multiple projects and deadlines; -must demonstrate a high degree of attention to quality, details, and correctness; -must have the ability to handle and organize multiple projects and deadlines.
