Business Analyst Calculations and IT Implementations

SDP is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support the implementation of business changes in calculations and client landscapes as well as analysing the impact on software and calculations.
As a IT Business Analyst with focus on Calculations and Implementations you will also dive deep and define business requirements and technical features for strategic, transformational efforts. You will work on a cross-functional team of product managers, engineers and subject matter experts in an agile methodology to deliver on outcomes. A foundation of business and technical fundamentals should be complemented by soft-skills in building relationships, effectively eliciting and documenting requirements, critical problem-solving skills, and working toward shared goals.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
-Partners with business partners and product management to learn business area/domain, while continuing to learn and grow knowledge across the enterprise;
-Current state, Future state and Gap Analysis: Document and assess current state in a few processes, or single business area / domain. Assist with task-based work items in more complex situations;
-Gather Requirements: Responsible for fact-based requirement gathering, including all system, technical and intake requests;
-Interpret complex information and structures, such as regulations and client landscapes;
-Implement business changes in calculations or client landscapes;
-Analyse the impact on software/calculations;
-Continuously improve to enable efficiency and streamlining of technical processes: anticipate client needs and suggest additional functionality that can improve the systems;
-Test Plan Review: Help guide development teams and assist with coordinating and reviewing test plans for smaller or non-complex efforts. Independently provide execution on testing as needed (UAT, checkouts, etc.);
-Some Project Management: Ability to use project management principles to successfully complete and advance work;
-Support clients and internal teams with product related questions.
Bring Your Best! What this role needs:
-At least a Bachelor’s degree, preferable Business, Finance, Accounting OR IT related.
-2 to 6 years of experience preferred;
-Ability to work as a part of a team and build collaborative relationships. Basic ability to pull a mix of people and skill-sets together for a common purpose and goal. Self-directed and detail-oriented;
-Embrace and deal with ambiguity with strong analytical and communication skills. Know how to use data to make good decisions when confronted by ambiguity. Ability to track down answers when they are not known upfront;
-Accountability for high quality, value-driven work; place the user in the center of decision making, embrace continuous learning, curious and voice opinions, and take personal accountability;
-Familiarity of agile & scrum development environments;
-Experience in a client facing position;
-Strongly experienced with Microsoft Excel;
-Perseverance to solve complex problems.
