Product Manager Industrial Electronics

This company in Amsterdam provides industrial companies worldwide with energy products, chargers and electronic storage systems. Their electronic  storage systems and power solutions provided  are used for specific applications such as energy trading, frequency regulation and creating autonomous electricity grids in combination with solar or wind energy. With its large range of in-house developed highly advanced products and vast experience as power systems integrator, they are building the autonomous power grid of the future: reliable, sustainable and innovative.
 
The Product Manager Industrial Electronics
-Collects and analyses market intelligence in core and adjacent markets;
-Identifies new trends and opportunities and creates  product briefs for new product ideas;
-Responsible for organizing and leading product launches and product introductions in close cooperation with Marketing and Sales;
-Able to create, present and execute strategic growth plans for market and product development;
-Participates in sales meetings as necessary to support sales opportunities;
-Visit key accounts to develop new applications / markets;
-Responsible for Product Master Data for the assigned product groups;
-Provides guidance during new product development and sustain development projects;
-Life cycle management for the assigned product groups;
 
So the Product Manager will partially be responsible for increasing the profitability of existing product lines and partially advice on the development of new industrial power products for the Industrial market. This includes being part of new product projects from existing ideas, helping to develop new ideas based on experience and interaction with customers, spending time in the market to understand problems, and finding innovative solutions for the broader market.
 
You will also actively contribute to the growth strategy and support the development of new market channels. Based on market and competitor analysis, the Product Manager develops growth plans and implements them together with operations and the sales team.

The Product Manager Industrial Electronics requirements
-A BSc. degree in a technical or business fields like Industrial Engineering or Electronics or Electrics or Management;
-You are a clear communicator and able to manage by influence;
-Minimum 5 years of experience in a technical/commercial environment;
-You are commercial by nature and have a passion for Product Management, identifying trendsetting customer needs and create new business;
-You feel comfortable in a technical environment with technical products;
-You have conceptual and analytical competences and know how to integrate as well;
-Prepared to travel internationally occasionally;
