Senior Embedded C Software Developer
Amsterdam, Noord-HollandSDP Amsterdam is looking for a Senior Embedded C Software Developer with experience or strong knowledge in C, Microcontroller ARM programming, RTOS (real time operating system), and Tiobe Quality Indicator level C. This permanent Embedded software vacancy is at a fixed office location in Amsterdam and is an inbound development position.

The Embedded C Software Developer/Engineer;
The main tasks of the Embedded software developer will be to design and develop software applications that meet advanced product specifications. The Embedded software developer is also responsible for maintaining the development environment of his or her application.
They will contribute to receiving, drawing up and analysing development offers and product specifications in high-quality software. The standards and quality requirements are studied and concept ideas are discussed in an innovative way with the development team.
In terms of implementation, one can think of translating a program of requirements into a functional design and then translating the functional design into an application and well-functioning user interface. Since the Embedded software developer has a lot of control at the employers office, he / she will also test High-tech prototypes and made applications. Depending on the interpretation of test results, the Embedded programmer will also make changes to the design. Documentation is important in practically every programmer's profession. The Embedded programmer does this with this employer using revision management system. Preferably, the Embedded programmer also has reasonable presentation skills. This will come in handy when transferring a developed application and the accompanying documentation to the friendly customer. As a programmer, deadlines are always taken into account, as well as maintaining the development environment and managing sources.
Key responsibilities of the Embedded C Developer/Engineer;
-to translate the requirements of the Program of Demand into software features and collect and document the needed technical specs;
-to create great software architectures before the actual programming starts;
-to review the quality of the software design and suggest improvements;
-to implement software features by writing code and through executing automated software testing;
-to ensure the software is functionally tested (debugging) and is ready for product release;
-you work in a structured way and are able to create robust and maintainable software;
As an Embedded C Programmer you:
-would like the challenge of working together in a international software team;
-have a B.Sc. or M.Sc. level education in embedded programming or a comparable education;
-have at least 4+ years of relevant experience in software development;
-are an expert in C programming language and microcontroller (ARM) programming;
-have knowledge of C/C++, and RTOS (real time operating system);
-are able to program to Tiobe Quality Indicator level C;
-experience with microchip embedded controllers and with CAN communication is an advantage;
-have a working style: solution oriented and pragmatic;
-Understand and use a technical level of English speaking, Dutch is not a must;
-are preferably a resident of Europe/ a EU citizen;
