Java Solution Architect IT

Their Software Delivery project(s) has been awarded a substantial increase in strategic investment and as a result is recruiting an IT Java Solution Architect.
This vacancy, the IT Java Solution Architect, is in-house positioned. Their office at Amsterdam Schiphol is easy to reach by public transportation and by car. They have free parking spaces in front of the office building.
Responsibilities for the IT Java Solution Architect:
-Discusses problem statement / proposed changes with clients and provides thorough impact analysis.
-Collaborate with other professionals to determine functional and non-functional requirements for new software or applications.
-Translate the client’s business requirements into systems design.
-Aligns closely with Business Analysis to define solution landscape (High Level requirements).
-Aligns with Technical Lead on the technical design / architecture to stress on areas like scalability, maintainability, system integration and feasibility, etc.
-Define all aspects of development from appropriate technology and workflow to Java coding standards.
-Communicate successfully all concepts and guidelines to develop the Java team.
-Oversee progress of development team to ensure consistency with initial design.
-Provide technical guidance and coaching to Java developers and Java engineers.
-Ensure software meets all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, extensibility etc.
-Provides feedback on content and structure of technical standards including documentation.
-Demonstrate expert level proficiency in multiple platforms.
-Serve as a technical advisor and problem solver to clients and partners to assist them in optimizing their use of the product suite.
-Actively work with the account team to establish strategy for the account.
-Establish high, mid and micro level plans for project teams.
-Independently lead the estimation effort for a project.
-Identify and manage risk on project.
-An ability to act as a mentor to other technical staff is critical.
-Prepare elements of sales proposals to represent the companies technical expertise.
-In addition to working on billable client engagements, may also assist as needed on pre-sales opportunities such as RFP responses, proposal delivery, architecture assessments, and technical qualifications.
IT Java Solution Architect Skills & Knowledge.
-Preferably a University education and degree (IT related)
-Strong analytical and communication skills.
-Good written and verbal skills in English.
-Perseverance to solve complex problems.
-Ability to work under pressure.
-Ability to work in a multicultural and international environment.
-Very good people skills: you are a very good negotiator and mediator; you are able to explain complex technical aspects in a simple, understandable manner.
-Superior technical know - gained through extensive experience.
-Adequate understanding of the business domain.
-Understands business processes and can model them.
-Strong OO approach and can support solution definition (with Client / Business Analysis function) and also support technical problem resolution.
-Skilled at seeing things from a helicopter whilst keeping an eye on quality and short-term deliverables.
-Enthusiastic, flexible and assertive.
-Highly motivated team player with excellent social, coordination and communication skills.
-Proactive and positive attitude – have a solution oriented approach.
-Passionate about technical environments and like to work in a highly complex and multidisciplinary domain.
