Senior C# .Net Developer

Our client is an innovative IT product company providing software and services for lease management and technical asset management. Our Client has an experienced team of 60 professionals across offices in The Netherlands. Within the client, software developers and other IT experts work together as one team in order to deliver exceptional software, product support and reliable back office services. You will be a key part of the fixed SCRUM development team located in Amsterdam.
Your responsibilities will be to work closely with the Product/Business Owners and with the rest of the development team to take the requirements and add them to the software and database design. You will also be required to investigate any bugs and issues reported and resolve them with the rest of the team and the operations department if needed.
The software has been in development for many years and is a large and complex system, you will be expected to gain an understanding of how it works and what it does for users to allow you to give important contributions to the future design and technical direction of the software.
Besides supporting existing applications, they are focusing on document management, image manipulation, security, performance, exposing Web APIs. High availability, scalability and integration with existing back ends are important aspects of new development.
-Dependable and key member of the development team
-Ability to understand requirements as presented by the Product Owners and ask any questions required for clarification
-Translation of requirements into software design: Objects, screens, etc.
-Work closely with the rest of the development team(s) to deliver high quality software
-Investigate bugs/issues reported during development sprint
-Have an interest in new technologies and tools, willing to learn and teach
-Supporting other team members
General competence in software design/development and IT in general:
-General competence in data design/development
-Fluent in English / Good communication skills
-Good analysis and problem solving skills
-Ability to meet deadlines
-Work pro-actively in a small team with a can-do attitude
Competencies:
-Good knowledge of C# and its ecosystems - the current systems are built using .net C#, MVC and WebAPI
-Good experience with Microsoft Visual Studio
-Design skills are beneficial
-Fast learning and general aptitude to knowing more about the business side of the software
-Agile experienced
-Experienced creating REST-based web-services.
-Experience with client side frameworks like AngularJS, and NodeJS.
-Working knowledge of Databases/SQL – experience with Microsoft SQL Server desired
-Affinity with unit testing frameworks
-Familiarity with design and architectural patterns
-Knack for writing clean, readable code
-Understanding of fundamental design principles behind scalable and testable applications
