IT Development Manager

All software and systems development takes place in an Agile environment modified to suit their unique needs. They believe in the combination of three core development approaches: Agile, Scrum and SOLID. The engineering organization is very flat and they pride their selves on being hands-on across the board.
At this well know software development company, they take their job of developing quality, high-performance scalable solutions for customers very seriously but have fun doing so. As part of the core development team, you will work with Architects, Senior Engineers, Project Management, and Product Managers to design new market-leading solutions in the hospitality sector, that meets business requirements and align with organization IT strategy and validate the implementation of those.
The IT Development Manager:
Being their IT Development Manager means you are the linking pin between the needs of the technical demand of the customers and your colleagues involved in the implementation of the solution. Also, you are involved in projects related to the further development of the standard solution, to be rolled-out to all existing customers.
A technical management portfolio of 3 to 5 projects simultaneously doesn’t scare you; your technical management skills allow you to set priorities and manage your available time (and projects) effectively. Be aware of the fact that you are not only responsible to the actual management of the project and the administrative follow-ups. Given your general IT and Microsoft environment knowledge, you are able to have content related discussions with developers or the IT departments of the customer.
About you:
-You have a strong educational background in the fields of computer science or engineering.
-You have strong organizational skills and experience managing large and complex IT projects.
-Strong multi-tasking experience.
-You have excellent presentation skills.
-You are an excellent communicator to both internal teams and external stakeholders and customers.
-You are result and quality driven.
-You have extensive experience with Agile, Waterfall and Matric Project Management.
-You have extensive hands on coding experience with large scale distributed/cloud systems (ASP.NET MVC, C#, etc.)
-Work closely with the Development Manager and the CTO to drive strategic decisions.
-Communicate with Sales department.
-Coordinate internal resources and partners/vendors.
-Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
-Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
-Report and escalate to senior management if needed.
-Develop project scopes and objectives, involve all relevant stakeholders and ensure technical feasibility.
-Prepare requests for proposals and conducting all necessary meetings to facilitate selection of project services and products.
-Design and maintain technical and project documentation.
-Conduct and attends meetings and presentations.
-Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards.
-Prepare status reports by gathering, analyse and summarize relevant information.
