You will be joining a team of talented, experienced, intelligent, developers building a software platform for delivering collaborative services. Our respected client in Amsterdam is interested in versatile Test specialists who will be joining a team to execute and coordinate technical testing processes across their products and services. Our client has established an impressive team of in-house professionals to test and certify equipment, including mathematicians, hardware and software engineers, compliance engineers, system and communication engineers, high-tech engineers and quality assurance specialists at a fixed location. These well trained professionals deliver impressive expertise.
You are also part of a productive team, consisting of developers and testers. As an IT Tester you work closely with the developers in testing the customized applications; primarily using manual testing. You may occasionally be required to visit customer sites to assist in testing & rolling out (beta) versions. This is an exciting opportunity for medior and experienced IT Testers to extend their skillset and push testing forward.

Responsibilities
-Review product and system functional requirements and provide feedback.
-Identify, define and maintain the test design specification, monitor test coverage and evaluate the overall quality while testing.
-Identify test data requirements; create and manage test data effectively.
-Execute test scripts.
-Identify, analyze, and document all defects (software and documentation issues) and operational characteristics that are inconsistent with stated requirements and design specifications.
-Document and validate resolution of identified issues.
-Be responsible for the analysis, reporting and communication of test results on all assigned projects, including outstanding defects and test status.
-Assist in evaluating product and application defects reported by customers and make recommendations for their correction.
-Assist in implementing improvements in test methods and strategies.
-Escalate test (quality) risks to project manager with activities / contingencies, where possible.
-Responsible for preparing test report.
-Assist in defect management.
-Assist in providing test estimations.
-Follows the target operating model and applicable project specific tailoring guidelines.
Skills & Knowledge
Essential:
-BSc or MSc degree (preferable IT related).
-2+ years’ experience as a Manual Tester.
-2+ years’ experience with Quality Center or equivalent tools.
-Experience with Windows operating systems.
-ISEB/ISTQB Foundation of Software Testing certified.
-Knowledge of testing methodologies and practices.
-Very good verbal and written skills in English.
-Strong analytical skills.
-Good understanding MS Office applications.
-Attention to detail and good problem solving skills.
-Knowledge of defect management tool preferably JIRA.
-Strong ability to communicate with team members across all disciplines.
Desirable but not a must:
-Knowledge on database tools.
